What to do?
So far, things are going pretty slow. We have emailed several hospitals and are waiting on replies from them. It's really hard just to sit here and wait for them to get back to us. We are researching a lot of different ways to fundraise and to get involved with a hospital, our main one being St. Jude. At the moment we are looking at fundraising with our entire school and hopefully the comunity in a program called Team Up for St. Jude. Usually schools do it during their homecoming spirit week to show which class has the most spirit. I think it would be a fun way to keep up our school spirit throughout the year instead of just getting hyped up during homecoming. We are also looking at volunteering at their hospital during our spring break and doing an activity with patients there. Possibly a sort of game or craft project to which every kid could participate in. The hardest part of all of this is so far is waiting on the hospitals. I understand that hospitals are super busy and don't have time to get back to us asap but it's frustrating to sit here waiting for a reply. We don't have anywhere to go yet. All of our questions are unanswered but if there's one thing this project is going to teach me, it's patience.
